Job Responsibilities: What you will do

Timely and accurate production of pay for employees and independent contractors in a high volume, multistate environment for multiple entities with varied deadlines. Creation of final pay in compliance with state regulations in a high turnover environment. Analyze transactions and resolve discrepancies in information received from varied sources to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations & employment laws including but not limited to FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). Create and monitor batch interfaces between internal systems and to external business partners resolving discrepancies as required.

  • Production of all payroll and settlement cycles using established standard operating procedures & deadlines. If necessary, additional working hours are required to meet deadlines. Production of off cycle pay as required to correct exceptions or meet regulatory requirements.
  • Daily creation of final payments for driving and non-driving employee in compliance with various regulations.
  • Calculation and verification of payments for employees on leave of absence in compliance with various regulations.
  • Create interfaces and batch processes between various systems and external business partners to complete payroll and settlement production.
  • Create and analyze reports for SOX & FLSA compliance and other regulatory reporting. Engage and interact with other business untis as needed to resolve discrepencies. Provide statistical reporting for external business units and regulatory agencies from established procedures. Detect and communicate non-compliance to leaders.
  • Review & respond to wage claims and regulatory inquires interacting with corporate legal team as needed. Initiate process change to ensure on-going compliance.
  • Consistently respond to internal and external customers acting as an advisor for complex issues in pay & pay related areas such as employment taxes, personnel actions and time off tracking. Provide education regarding compliance and training regarding new & established processes.
  • Provide departmental support for incoming calls regarding payroll questions, as needed.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facililtates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
  • Perform additional duties as required by leadership.

Qualifications: What you need to bring

  • Three years payroll experience; multi-state payroll experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of complex payroll processes for high volume, multistate enviroment. Knowledge of timekeeping & payroll software.


Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.00 Hourly
